The Mission of Marin Arts Studio:
Art and Design as a Bridge
Marin Arts Studio, a social entrepreneurial business, was founded in 2013 by DC-based fine artist Indira Marin Dingledine. Our textile designs are currently based on paintings by Indira Marin Dingledine and sewn in DC, as well as Pennsylvania.
Through business, we bridge different areas of our divided US, binding us with mutual success. Business can bring respectful cohesion and goodwill, reaching across customarily divided communities, using genuine collaboration and reliability.
Indira Marin Dingledine spent her youth in the galleries and museums of New York City. She studied fine arts at Cornell University. Viewers have noted similar elements in her work to Willem de Kooning, Arshile Gorky, and Umberto Boccioni.
Indira's current series, "The Animation of Forward Motion," is a study of propelled movement while sustaining balance. The observations shown in the series reflect this process in life, as much as color and shape.
Currently, Indira is working in textiles, transferring paintings to soft form. http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/indira-dingledine.html
